Manual to fully automatic 

Bookletmakers allow you to create small booklets from unfolded sheets of paper.  There are 2 types:  Manual feed bookletmakers into which you place the pages by hand, and Booklet makers that can be paired with a collator to automatically insert the pages into the machine. 

The least expensive and most basic bookletmaker is the BookletMate.  You manually place up to 10 pages in the machine, and then rotate the lever one way to staple the booklet and then the other way to fold it. 

The AutoBook, BK-10 and M2 also require that you set the pages into the machine manually, but do the stapling and folding at the push of a button.   The BK-10 can staple without folding and fold without stapling.

Starting with the Standard F40, a fully automatic bookletmaker creates booklets automatically when connected to a collator (a device that collates separate pieces of paper.  You print each page of the booklet in a separate run and put the run into its own feeder).  Each one has a page limit, as well as staple placement and capacity limits.  Please call us if you are interested in a fully automatic booklet maker.  They are considerbly more expensive and complex.

The AutoBook automates the staple and fold process with a button.  You load the collated set of pages manually, then push the button to complete the booklet.  The finished booklet comes to rest vertically in the middle slot. 

It has two separate staple heads which can staple in five positions. It accepts up to 15 sheets of 20# bond paper (60 pages) from 8.25" x 10" to 12" x 17".  It has 6 preset sizes and can be programmed for 6 more custom sizes.  Setup is quick and easy.  The AutoBook handles more sheets and creates booklets with less effort in less time.  Click here for downloadable specifications.

The Standard Co. has a wide variety of Booklet Makers, including machines that pair with a collator for totally automatic bookmaking.  The M2 is their entry level model.  It is a manual feed machine with automated stapling and folding at the push of a button.  You load the collated papers for the booklet, press the button and it is stapled and folded. 

It has a 210 staple magazine  and can handle paper from 6" x 8.5" to 11" x 17".  It can process up to 15 sheets of 20# bond paper at a theoretical speed of up to 800 booklets per hour, depending upon the operator. 

It is 11.5" high x 19.3" wide x 16" deep and weighs 86 lbs.

The Standard F40 is one of a class of bookletmakers capable of fully automatic bookmaking when paired with a collator.  The collator assembles the pages and with optional equipment feeds the bookletmaker.  It can also by used in manual feed mode.

The F40 can take up to 25 sheets of 20 lb. Bond and produce up to 1500 books per hour.  It can handle paper from 4.75" x 9.5" to 12.75 x 18".  It can staple in the middle of the booklet and on the corner or side.  When combined with a collator, it is fully automatic, and can be combined with an optional exit conveyor/stacker.  Staple capacity is 210 staples in each of 2 stapling heads.  It comes standard with a counter, side jogger, and corner/side staple mode.  Optional equipment includes a base cabinet, Electronic interface for linking with collators, and a catch tray.  The F40 weighs 143 lbs. and is 20' x 23.75" x 20.5".
